About Pablo Torres
Pablo Torres is a Swedish photojournalist with over 16 years of experience bearing witness at the fault lines of our world.
For more than a decade working mostly in the Middle East, based in Beirut and Jerusalem, covering the human stories behind the headlines for Swedish media outlets including SVT, TV4, and Radio Aid, as well as the Dutch broadcaster NOS. His assignments have taken him into the heart of conflict zones across the Middle East, including Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, and most recently to Ukraine, Israel and Palestine.
His work is driven by a single conviction: that every person, no matter how forgotten, deserves to be seen.
That conviction led him to Latin America, where he spent ten years documenting the men and women living inside the region's prison systems. The result is Invisible Citizens, his first photobook—a raw, unflinching portrait of life behind bars, and a meditation on dignity, survival, and the human cost of confinement.
Pablo is based in Sweden and available for assignments, talks, and exhibitions worldwide.
